Poll Results: Who would win?

Well, I had two polls going. One asking who would win in an Obama/McCain matchup and the other asking who will win in a Clinton/McCain matchup. This wasn’t meant to be a “Who would you vote for” thing but rather an honest answer on who you think the country would pick if they were matched up against eachother. Even though everyone didn’t vote in both polls, the results are still fairly interesting.

Head to Head: Who would win?
Selection Votes
Barack Obama 48% 24
John McCain 52% 26
50 votes total

Head to Head: Who would win?
Selection Votes
Hillary Clinton 56% 20
John McCain 44% 16
36 votes total

Now you have to remember that this poll has been going on during the past couple of weeks. A lot has happened from Hillary pledging to stay in the race as long as it takes to her voicing her support for Obama yesterday.

In all honestly, this poll probably doesn’t mean anything because I kept it up too long. However, it is still interesting to see that according to this flawed poll, Hillary is more electable than Obama.

With the recent AP poll showing that Hillary could beat McCain in a Head to Head battle, I wanted to conduct my own little poll to see what my readers think. Given, this is a conservative blog so obviously everyone should vote for McCain (I’m not happy about this but the alternatives are much worse). Therefore, the question will be who do you think would win in November if they went up against eachother. Please vote in each match up.

Well the results of this poll were as expected. People (or at least the readers of this site) overwhelmingly feel that Obama’s cult-like following is a very scary thing.

I’m also glad to see that everyone knows what a cult is. Very good. Ya’ll sure know how to make me proud.

Does the almost cult-like fervor of Obama’s followers scare you?

Yes, it really does 65% 11
No, I think it’s kind of cute 12% 2
Huh? What’s a cult? 0% 0
No, Ron Paulians are much worse 24% 4

New Poll in honor of going to Chicago

Tomorrow, I’m going to be heading off to Chicago for my Spring Break. Now why would I be going to a frozen city when I’m located in the wonderfully warm south? Well, my church is going there on a mission trip so I’ll be heading along with them. Since we are going to be driving all the way there (roughly a 17 hour trip in multiple 16 passenger vans), I probably won’t be able to blog at all tomorrow. Therefore, I’m going to be leaving you with a poll.

Since I’m going to be in Illinois, I only think it is fitting that I ask a question concerning Obama. Recently, I have begun to notice more and more Obama fans absolutely adore the man. No, you don’t understand, they REALLY adore him. Its like Obamamania is a new religion and his followers will follow him no matter what just because “he is a nice guy.” So my question is this…

Does the almost cult-like fervor of Obama’s followers scare you?
Yes, it really does
No, I think it’s kind of cute
Huh? What’s a cult?
No, Ron Paulians are much worse

About a week ago, I asked this question and the results I got surprised me quite a bit. So without further ado, here they are:

If you are a conservative, will you vote for McCain in November?
Selection   Votes
Yes, I will vote for him 18% 4
No, I will vote for the other candidate 45% 10
Maybe, he still has a lot to prove 23% 5
I will abstain from voting 14% 3
22 votes total

Now, in asking this question, I expected to get some people voting for other candidates but I didn’t expect this many. In fact, this really shocked me and kind of scared me. I really don’t like McCain that much but if he is the Republican party’s nomination, I am surely going to be voting for him. Since I consider myself a conservative, I really can’t vote for the other side and keep a clear conscious.

I’m really hoping that this poll is completely erroneous and people just forgot the whole “If you are a conservative part” otherwise the Republican party is going to have a tough time come November.

I’m taking the weekend off and going to be at the beach until Sunday night so everyone have a great weekend. Why would you care about this fact? Well your going to get a break from my posts. I know, its going to be hard for me too.

However, here is my parting gift to you, a poll. Be sure to leave comments explaining your choice. However, the comments won’t show up until Sunday because I have to approve them. To many spammers to have my comment section set up any other way. Anyways, enjoy.

Poll Results: Who would you pick as president?

So I had a poll up for the past week asking who would people pick if they didn’t have Huckabee or Ron Paul as one of their choices for president. Since I do consider this a conservative blog, the results I got were quite surprising. Take a look:

Who would you pick as President?
Selection   Votes
Hillary Clinton 27% 4
John McCain 7% 1
Barack Obama 47% 7
Mitt Romney 20% 3
15 votes total

Given, I only had fifteen people vote but still, that is a disproportionate amount of people for both Hillary and Obama. I sure hope that isn’t representative of what the populous is going to be voting come November.

For this poll, if it came down to any two of these four as the respective party nominees, who would you pick?

Some of you may be wondering why Huckabee’s name didn’t appear on my list. I didn’t include it because I wanted this poll to have the worst case scenarios (Ron Paul would be considered worst case but is irrelevant at the moment). Also, since I am a blogger for Huckabee, I get a lot of traffic from his site. This would obviously help to skew the results in his favor.

Poll Results: What will the next President be?

I had a poll going for the last week asking what party the next president will belong to. Because Ron Paul is just so out there, I decided he deserved to be his own party. Here are the results I got:

What will the next President be?
Selection Votes
A Democrat 50% 7
A Republican 36% 5
Ron Paul 14% 2
14 votes total

Yea, not too big of a sample size but considering that this is a conservative website, you would think that more people would have a positive (Republican) outlook about the next election. Then again, maybe people have just resigned themselves to the fact that either Barack or Hillary is going to have a lot easier time getting elected than the current lot of Republicans. I’m still hoping that a lot will change in the coming months.
