This ad has to be one of the most powerful ads I have seen in this campaign. Born Alive Truth, whose website won Right Wing News’ “Website of the Day” award, should definitely be visited by anyone looking for more information on the whole BAIPA issue.

Biden’s Moral Dilemma

If someone believes life begins at conception , and taking of a life is considered murder, isn’t the next logical step the equating of abortion to murder? Am I missing something here?

Oh, and please don’t try to argue that you don’t want people “forcing their morals” on you. This is a society and morals are constantly being forced on you by the government. What do you consider laws against murder and rape? Are they not “morals” that you are required to live by?

And what about the idea that releasing CO2 into the environment? Aren’t environmentalists arguing that it should be for “moral” reasons such as future generations that we should have government regulations.

If you live in a society, there are going to be certain “morals” that you are going to have to live by. If abortion = murder, as Biden seems to believe, shouldn’t something be done about it?

Planned Parenthood keeps raking in the dough

Once again, we see that Planned Parenthood is raking tons of money with a third of it coming from taxpayer money. The question remains, why aren’t Republicans in Washington doing anything about it?

Coed Bathrooms in Colorado UPDATE

Well, if you have been paying attention to Colorado politics, you probably already know that a new bill is proposing that the state make all bathrooms coed. What you might not know is that this bill was actually signed into law by Governor Ritter.

What a sad day for Colorado.

Coed Bathrooms in Colorado

There are times when I am just at a loss of words and it takes me a while to stop fuming enough to write a post. This is one of those times. A Colorado bill, which is just one signature away from becoming law, would make it so public bathrooms must be, in all reality, co-ed.

A new “transgender nondiscrimination” bill pending in Colorado, which would make it illegal to deny a person access to public accommodations including restrooms and locker rooms based on gender identity or the “perception” of gender identity, is one signature away from becoming law.

Colorado Gov. Bill Ritter,a Democrat, has one week to sign or veto Senate Bill 200, recently passed by both the House and the Senate. The bill, titled “Expanded Discrimination Prohibitions,” holds this definition:

“‘Sexual orientation’ means a person’s orientation toward heterosexuality, homosexuality, bisexuality, or transgender status or another person’s perception thereof.”

According to the bill, business owners and managers of restaurants, gyms, barber shops, massage parlors, etc., and managers of “public [facilities] of any kind whether indoor or outdoor” cannot deny a person employment or access to a facility based on gender identity or that “perception.”

The bill also makes it illegal to discriminate based on “sexual orientation” when renting, selling or leasing housing or when selecting members for jury duty. Penalties for those who discriminate against others based on gender identity include fines and/or time in jail.

What does all the jibberish mean? It means that if a man decides to dress up like a woman, he couldn’t be refused entry into the woman’s restroom or locker room. As the article states, this means even public schools. Scary isn’t it?

What makes this even more scary for me is that this has a lot of potential to be a “slippery slope” issue. Even though this bill excludes religious facilities, you know someone will complain down the road and get some legislation proposed to end that exemption.

Plus just the stupidity of this bill is just outrageous. Imagine a Peeping Tom right in a girls’ locker room for a place like the local YMCA. Several women discover him and decide they want to sue. Do they sue the man? the YMCA for allowing him in? the state? Do they have any rights at all other than to just let it occur?

And Democrats blame Republicans for taking away privacy rights?

Luckily this bill hasn’t passed yet so there is still time. Contact Colorado Governor Bill Ritter and voice your protests against this bill. Hopefully he will listen

Planned Parenthood is rolling in the money

When you think of a “non-profit” organization, you think of some group of people trying to help their fellow man by eking out a meager existence as they go along. I know that legally, there are many different kinds of non-profits out there but that example is what I believe most people think of off hand.

Well this may as a surprise to you but Planned Parenthood is actually classified as a non-profit and made record profits last year. Right Wing News has a whole article on this that you should probably read.

Since a moral conscious must already be lacking for those who work for Planned Parenthood, it really doesn’t surprise me that they would allow a donor to specify what race their money went to abort. As if abortions weren’t bad enough already, now we find out that our federal tax dollars could have possibly contributed to ethnic cleansing. However, I doubt we will see any of the lefties up in arms and demanding a more thorough investigation of Planned Parenthood.

Non-Christian reasons to be pro-life

Michael Illions from PoliPundit.com has a great article about why he, a non-Christian, could never support any “pro-choice” measures. This is a great article that has the stories of three women (one of them being his wife) and the choices they made concerning their pregnancies. Each of them deals with the problem of doctors advising their patients to have an abortion when the unborn child is diagnosed with health problems. This one of those “must-read” articles.

The Washington Post ran an article today stating that the number of abortions has dropped to its lowest since 1976 in the United States.

The number of abortions performed in the United States dropped to 1.2 million in 2005 — the lowest level since 1976, according to a new report.

The number of abortions fell at least in part because the proportion of women ending their pregnancies with an abortion dropped 9 percent between 2000 and 2005, hitting the lowest level since 1975, according to a nationwide survey.
