Fred’s out, so who’s left?

By Jonathan Williams

For all of you who are now feel lost and adrift without Fred Thompson, Right Wing News has a nice article that summarizes the strengths and weaknesses of the remaining republican candidates. If you are wondering why I don’t support McCain, his weaknesses pretty much sum it up:

Weaknesses: Beyond the issues above, McCain is basically a Democrat who seems to take perverse enjoyment in picking fights with conservatives. For this reason, he is richly despised by a lot of people on the Right and having him as the nominee would cause conservatives to become despondent. He’s also pro-amnesty, didn’t support the Bush tax cuts, and is undependable on judges — and just about everything else — despite his protests to the contrary.

Yep, that’s basically why I don’t like him. Oh, and as an added bonus, you the reader now have a way to work the word ‘despondent’ into everyday conversation. I know, I’m really excited about that too.

  1. I talked with a sweet lady in NH before the debate and she explained why she wasn’t voting for McCain. It was interesting.
