SC Primary Voting Experience

By Jonathan Williams

I just got back from going with my friend to vote in the Republican Primary and where we were at, there weren’t many people. In fact, my friend was the only one there at the time (roughly 3:30). I don’t know much about how many people a primary location should have voting but, on the list of voter signatures, my friend was the 138th signer. To me, that doesn’t seem like a lot but as I said before, I’m new at this. As we were leaving, we did see one older lady who was there to vote. When we asked her who she was going to vote for, she said her vote was for Ron Paul. So from what I can conclude from my survey (consisting of my friend and the lady), we got a 50-50 split between Ron Paul and Mike Huckabee.

The moral of this story is this: If you are a Republican and haven’t voted yet in the primary, you got only 3 more hours to do so. Oh, but if your not voting for Mike Huckabee, I guess you can stay home. Mike Huckabee is really the only candidate worth trudging out into the miserably cold rain we are having.
