Hugh Hewitt Confident about Iraq War

Today, Hugh Hewitt along with several other talk show host were invited into the oval office to have some time to talk to the president about the Iraq war off the record.

I will say on today’s show that I am confident about the course of the war and about the momentum in Iraq, as well of the president’s absolute commitment to doing right by the troops and his concern for every lost and wounded soldier and their families.

I have a very high opinion of Mr. Hewitt, so if he is confident, I see no reason to not be confident as well.

History Does Repeat Itself

Today, 1,028 economists signed a petition in opposition to raising tariffs against China. These protectionist policies are likened to the Smoot-Hawley Tariff Act that Hoover signed into being in 1930. This act was seen as one of the things that contributed to the Great Depression and at the time was also opposed by 1,028 economists.
